'Feels' sharper is all you get, on a standard engine if you take the play out the throttle cable it matches the feel of a larger throttle body, but my Puma engine ran awful with a 58mm, which was fitted on the LMS manifold I purchased.
Fuelling was everywhere and drive-ability out the window...
Depends if you're removing the front half or the whole manifold, it takes 10 minutes to remove the headlight, raise the car, remove aux belt, unbolt alternator and pull back to get to the hidden bolt, so i think you took the easy option.
What is the purpose of this post? Surely complain to the person carrying out the work? All I see in your posts is Chris will do this, Chris is doing that etc.
Superchips will do you the map for Puma cup cars which use a 421 manifold, removed limiters for torque and revs, and some improvement in bhp but no more than 5-6bhp tops IMO.
To Puma VCT gurus - is there a preset coolant temperature that the VCT is fully functional at? Reason I ask, i'm looking at fitting a cooler thermostat for track use in the summer but on the road, it may run quite cool, and the last thing I want is for the VCT to not fully operate as designed...
