Just to alleviate your worries, I have found a route that avoids the nasty bit of the M1 and doesn't even add many miles on!

Thanks for caring :D

We'll be going A14 to where it meets the M1 at Catthorpe, then straight up the M1.

:)

Why you ask?

So your coming straight up the A1 after all then?

I may not be able to meet y'all at the services - I won't be able to leave Oxford until at least half eight (have to pick Amanda up from work) - I'll try my best to be there, if not I'll see you all at the meet!

No worries mate - see you at the meet in any case

(PM coming at ya)

You could do, but the A421 goes south again to get to the M1 (Past Cranfield..lol)

If you do want to do that, you'd be better off coming off the A1 at Junction 10 (Just north of Baldock) and going on the Arlesey Road via Clophill, Arlesey & Millbrook to J13 of the M1.

My opinion for what it's worth. :)

This is the route I was thinking of for you to get to the pre-meet point:

:D

howdy peeps,

just for those of you who haven't seen the post on the other site, watch out for the stretch just south of the meeting point for about 3 junctions. they are doing widening works and they have those arsey average speed camera things up. I don't think there should be too many hold ups though (but then again I haven't really been on that bit since they started the work).

Look forward tos eeing everyone on Saturday morning. Looks like teh weather might be a bit poo, so one of the stops might have to move from an open air car park to a pub but we should hopefully be OK, have one or two options if it is wet for that stop :D

If anyone has any questions/problems, feel free to PM / mail me :)

Ta for the heads up mate - look forward to catching up on saturday :eek:k:

Ooh that's a cool road if it's not too busy or foggy :p (had to do 30mph max last time...I thought I was never going to get home!).

Thanks honey :D

*hug*
