My puma 1.4 has developed a strange affliction. When I turn the ignition on, all the needles on the dashboard fly round to the right, stay there for a couple of seconds and then return to rest. Any ideas as to what could cause this please.

Hi, My ABS light is on constantly and the brake used to self test but does not now. I have used a modified ELM 27 tester and it shows no ABS faults recorded. It does show lean mixture and cooling faults but nothing ABS related. Has anyone any ideas please.

Hi, There is no reason why anybody with a hammer cant use my DIY kit to produce rear arch repair panels. Refering to the diagram cut two pieces of plywood to the arch repair shape. Then cut the same in metal with extra for the flange. Sandwich the metal between the wood with plenty of g clamps...

Hi, I think we all have this problem and as far as I can see it is the angle of the string that is at fault. Moving the string to a more vertical position may help.

Hi, puma passed the test today after a little work. Replaced all the shock absorbers with Monroes though it only needed the rears. The fronts behave very well over speed humps but the back end has a thump when coming off a speed hump. Is this normal behavior due to the lightness of the rear?

Hi, just ordered two front shocks to complete the set. The job looks straight forward but I've read that the bottom ball joint needs to be undone. I can't see why, can it be done by just undoing the shocker pinch bolt.
